The process

From an email to a trade licence

What you fill in, what happens after you pay, and which parts genuinely take time.

Before the licence

What you do

Seven screens, in one sitting if you have a passport to hand. Nothing is asked twice, and nothing is asked that your earlier answers made irrelevant.

Name the company

Your first choice and two backups, in English and Arabic. We check all three as you type — against the MCFZ register, the national register, and trademarks in your own category.

Say what the business does

Describe it in a sentence or give us a website, and we propose activities from the 967 MCFZ licence. Three are included.

Choose visas and term

How many people need residence visas, and for how long the licence runs. This is the only choice that moves the price.

Add everyone involved

Upload a passport and we read the name, nationality, date of birth, number and expiry off it. One person can hold several roles; nobody is entered twice.

Split the shares

Who owns what, and who ultimately controls it. If a company is a shareholder we keep going up the chain until we reach people, because UAE law requires it.

Upload documents

We ask only for what your structure requires. A manager who is also a shareholder does not need an attested degree; a non-resident does need proof of address.

Review, sign, pay

Card or portal balance clears immediately. Then it is with us.

After you pay

What we do

You get a plain status the whole way through — never a department name, never a reference number you have to decode.

Application checks

Your documents are read and verified, your name is checked against the national register, and everyone on the application is screened.

Usually same day

Government process

Immigration clear the manager. This is the step that sets the pace, and it is the one part of the timeline nobody controls.

With the federal authority

Final review and approval

A senior reviewer checks the whole file once, then releases it.

Licence documents

Trade licence, certificate of incorporation, MOA and AOA, the lease and your shareholder resolution — all issued together, each carrying a QR code that verifies against MCFZ's own site.

MCFZ publish one working day for a new company

Then the visas, if you bought them

Establishment card and e-channel registration start on their own the moment the licence issues. See how a visa runs.

The one-working-day figure is MCFZ's published turnaround for forming a new company. The parts that take longest sit outside the form: the national name check, and immigration approval for the manager.

Ready when you are

Start with an email and a passport

Everything else we either read off the passport or ask for only when your answers make it necessary.
